Yep, I have confirmed this with my dealer.

So, my next question. I want to "upgrade" my security system to be able
to monitor more than just the doors opening. I want a motion sensor with
adjustable sensitivity and maybe a switch for the hood and tailgate.

What do you folks think is a good add on security system?

The dealer said that companies that install security systems can utilize
the factory system with key fob that controls it, and just add a module
to provide more coverage areas.

Any help please?
