Okay all. Have spent all day Friday at Mopar Mile Nats. in Denver. Needless
to say an impressive aray of Mopar Performance Vehicles. Counted 16 yes thats
right 16 Dakota R/T's. Anyway the question is what is that hiss? Talked with
the Mopar rep standing next to a Solar Yellow 99 R/T with all the goodies
from Mopar. Cold Air Intake , Headers, Cat back system, Cam, Ignition, Bed
liner & cover.. The list goes on. I specifically asked about the "hiss". He
said he never heard it before but said "lets start it up and see. Guess what;
it hissed! After some discussion with two other reps in the area they decided
it was in their opinion, the air moving through the filter into the tube .
Probably due to the curvature of the top hat on the throttle body. So thats
all I can contribute at this point.
