The proper adjustment according to the service manual is this:
When you have the front clip off (the one that attaches to the
throttle lever) it should be within 1mm either way of the thing
it clips to with no slack. So you need to adjust the white clip
thing that holds the tranny cable until it is there.
Then just clip it back on. That's according to the manual and
that's how mine is adjusted. Works very well and shifts at WOT at
about 4900 - 5100 depending on the gear.
