I haven't yet seen anyone post conclusive evidence that adding a tonneau
cover increased either mileage or performance. When I added mine the most
my gas mileage could have increased would have been about half a mile to the
gallon. I just chalked it up to normal tank-to-tank differences. I got it
because I was sick of stuff blowing out of the bed.
