the i-6 should fit because both it and the 318 are available in the grand
Cherokee. but, For all the work puting a jeep i-6 in would take you would
gain maybe 10 hp tops and i don't think anymore torque. I really don't
even like the jeep 6 that much. through the effort and cost of a swap at
least get a 318. it would be cheaper and easier to build up a v-6
