Even if you cut off the coolant flow to the heater core, you will still be
simpily getting in hot outside air..

Basicaly.. for us without air (I also have no air) the cool setting/vent does
nothing more than what rolling down the windows would do..

Actualy, the vent air will still probaly be slightly warmer than the outside
air because usualy the intake port for the air handling unit is near where
the hood meats the windshield.. which may be heated from the engine
compartment..
