Subject: DML: Flex-a-lite 210 install
I just got my m210 dual 12" fans today from Summit( $208 incl. 2-day shp'g,
plenty in stock) and want to do the job myself. Can anyone put together a
99-specific how-to for my 318 auto w/tranny cooler & a/c? My questions are:
how to pull the radiator/ which way to mount the fans( horizontally or at an
angle)/ where is the a/c relay wiring and which wires to splice into/ tips
on
where to put the therm. control box & how to put the sensor in the top rad.
hose so it won't leak ( i've read people who've had to re-do this)/ yes or
no
on installing manual switch option( Do I leave it on all the time? will fans
work by therm. with switch in off pos.?) / which fuse to tap into( want fans
to turn off w/ignition)/ approximate job time doing it in my driveway
without
help. I already know how to get the OE fan off, thanks to Bob Hardt's advise
on wire-to-swaybar idea, but am leary of ruining my baby by diving into this
job without full knowledge of possible snafus. This is my only
transportation, so I have to do it right the 1st time! I'd be extremely
indebted to whoever can put together this info for me, as I want to brag
that
I had nationwide help in doing the job myself! As you all can tell, I'm
nuerotic to the max about doing this job the right(i.e.DML) way! Can anyone
help me out?
