The straight six is perfectly suited for it's task-low rpm torque. I doubt
they will be able to improve on it. Unfortunately,emission controls are
getting tighter and a "modern" V6 is probobly on the horizon. Soon you'll
see the same V6(aprox 3.5L.) in the Dak and cherokee.
