I use the SOLO 4 battery powered detector.
I recommend this detector or any other made by Cincinnati Microwave.
I have used their products exclusively, from my first detector to my
most recent. They detect very well and don't seem to flase too much.
They don't cost an arm and a leg, and you can "trade up" models.
They recondition the trades and resell them even cheaper.
I don't know of a website, but they advertise in magazines like Road &
Track, they have an 800 # for sure.
