RE: CA Emissions VS. OR Emissions

I see your point on the fairness deal, believe me. I was looking for a
replacement for my wife's RT, and could only find the EXACT truck I wanted
in Las Vegas, NV. Unfortunately, I cannot purchase and finance the truck
because it is out of state, and is a 49 state truck. The dealership cannot
even
do a dealer trade to a CA. dealership. Kinda sucks.

But we were able to find a truck with 99% of what we wanted, so it worked
out.

CA. laws suck. HE HE...

Sam,

This wouldn't make sense or be fair. It would cause anyone moving to
Calif to have to sell their car ;) I believe the way it works is you get
spanked with the fee initially, then in subsequent years there is some
note on your registration that exempts you from the same stringent CA
emissions test.

But as you say, the best source would be contacting the DMV for the
straight poop.

Bob
