Hey John,
Was that for the body lift or suspension lift you talked to the Tech about?
I've heard from a number of sources (including an old Trailmaster catalog)
that for the suspension lift, a frame cross member needs to be cut & a new
one welded in. I will also add that those who have done the lift that I
talked to, said they felt the new cross member actually increased the frame
strength. Not sure how they quantify "strength", however. (This is all for
the old - GEN II- Dakota's).
