You are pulling way too much timing out with the msd box..2 degrees per lb of
boost is way overkill...i would pull out 1 degree per 2 lbs boost as a
start...you should invest in dyno time...set the timing retard to the amount
of detonation that is occurring detonation can be detected by the exhaust
emmitting brownish gray puffs of smoke...the more timing you run the more
horsepower you will make...i have a paxton vr-4 blower and i run 12 lbs of
boost i have a custom pcm...it pulls out the timing for me...at 4000rpm it
pulls out 2 degrees at 4600 it pulls out 4 degrees total and at 5200 it pulls
out 6 degrees total(shift points are 5800 rpm)...i always run 93-94 octane
fuel, and a colder plug and havent had a problem yet...
