All right, its me with my 89 V6 again. I have recently been
considering a lot of mods including:
1.Jet stage II chip 5.High flow Cat and Muffler
2.Home brew FIPK 6.180 tstat
3.Bored TB or V8 TB
4.Headers
Anyways, this is obviously going to be a good amount of money,
around 800-1000. So, someone brought up the fact to me that a V8 would
actually cost less than this to by.
Does anyone have experience swapping say a 3.9 for a 5.2 or even a
5.9? My 89 can fit the 5.2 if I shorten up the clutch fan. Aren't the
5.9s the same size? Could I put in a 5.9?
What all would I have to change to put in a V8? How much comes
with the engine? How much can I get in a boneyard?
Does it matter that I would put in a new magnum V8 in my pre-mag
truck?
Is this doable? About how much do you think it would cost?
I am very serious so any help would be appreciated.
