I have a 98 5 spdand I think the reason they do that is 'cause it's a truck
and in towing situations it helps lengthen the life of the clutch.

But then again I could just be a total stooge.

 I did a quick look-see in my '97 FSM. There is not a hint
 about clutch pedal adjustment as far as I see.
