Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 .
It is illegal for them to void your warranty for adding aftermarket parts .
They would have to prove that the part that you added caused the failure
that you were attempting to have fixed under warranty .
They must provide this proof *in writing* . This law is administered by the
FTC .
