You can change the gears to 3.90:1 (Front and Rear). Anything higher
(4.10+) is only available for the rear.

Subject: DML: Towing Advice: Help!!!

Need a bit of advice with towing.

I have a 97 dak cc 4x4 sport auto/od with 3.55's; pretty much stock.

When I tow heavy loads with it (loaded 4 place snowmobile trailer), it
really works and is horrible on fuel. Not to mention how the tranny
shifts constantly on the slightest hills.

I know the trailer of that size is a bit overkill, but I have seen guys
towing with dakotas (especially large boats) without a problem. I
guess what I want to know is:

1) am I stuck with the situation and have to deal with it, or

2) can I modify the tranny, gears, drivetrain to enhance it for
pulling? I already have headers, dual exhaust, computer, and FIPK in
the works for add-ons.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cory
