Because the Transgo kit gets a bit erratic at WOT on my Dakota, I've seen a
manual
1-2 shift at 5000 rpm go to 6000 before I backed off a bit to get it
shifted into
2nd, and twice had a manual 2-3 shift at 5300 rpm got to 6000 before
backing of to
get into 3rd. These occurred, thankfully, with the 464 valve springs and I
did not
experience any valve floats.
