Depends if your talking 4x2 or 4x4... Rack and pinion wasn't available on 4x4's
until '99... The 4x2's always had it.

Actually rack and pinion was not availible untill 99.

I don't see shocks on that list... the top nut on the shock coming loose is
very common on the Rams, don't know if it could carry over to the Dak's..
also the steering shaft is a problem with Dodges... so much so that Borgesen
makes a beefed up replacement that's popular with the Rams after they've
replaced 2 or 3 under warranty (but I've never had the problem).
You've got rack-and-pinon, so it can't be the pitman arm...
