Shelby mods

Hey all:

just got my latest mod done to my truck. I switched out the 8 1/4 rear for
an 8 3/4 rear and a new posi unit. I'm pretty sure the 8 3/4 is a little
bit more narrow, but not a whole lot. The reason I switched rears is
because the old posi unit was getting bad. I'd got to do a burnout at the
track and sometimes only one wheel would spin and make an awful sound. Also
the 8 3/4 rear is much stronger and the axles will hold up to the drag
racing abuse that I give it every weekend.

Next big step for the Shelby is the 360 which is going in this winter. I
already got a new tranny (904) put in earlier this year, and a B&M
QuickSilver shifter, and a Turbo Action manual valve body.

I'll keep everyone posted on how things shape up this winter.

Also, gonna be heading to Delaware for the Division 1 bracket finals on Sept
29. Anybody else out there that does a lot of racing qualify?

later
