Boog, I didn't get a chance to see them in the pits (wish I would have).
Yeah, that 4 banger was a stick shift, I was impressed. Also, there was a red
1st generation V-6, manual shifted Dak that qualified with a 14.11 in his
respective class.

I checked out the rulebook and noticed somewhat of some restrictive rules in
place for Stock class. Here are a few.

original or original type air cleaner, stock rods, pushrods, and crank must
be used, camshaft must have the factory "lift" or up to .430'' (looks like
there's no limit on the ''duration"), must use factory correct cylinder
heads (no porting of polishing), allowed up to +.070'' of original
cylinder bore dia., open headers permitted, must retain stock unaltered
intake manifold, high stall converters allowed in the automatics, some rear
suspension changes are allowed, truck must be within 200lbs. of the factory
shipping weight, any model transmission (must be same make as vehicle), must
retain factory type original throttle body, larger fuel injectors permitted,
up to 9'' wide slicks allowed.

I couldn't find anything on rules pertaining with the computer controlled
vehicles (like if you would have to retain the OBDII on the 96 and newer
trucks). Does anybody have any ideas?
