Mike,
Not too sure about far east NC, (I'm near Raleigh) the only offroading I've
done out there is on the Core Banks beaches (need to take a ferry across the
sound), and on the beach down near Carolina Beach. I'm in the CNC 4x4 Club
(Central NC) but we have members across all of NC, most of the time we ride
the ORV trails in Uwharrie National Forest (near Troy)...sometimes Tellico
down near Murphy...
but here's a suggestion, the CNC club has an e-mail mailing list much like
the DML that anyone can suscribe to, you can do so on our web page at
cnc.4x4.org.
Most of the people on the list are heavy-duty locked and lifted Jeepers, some
Toyotas and other miscellaneous, I'm the only Dak, and I've got some
heavy-duty modifications to do in order to keep up on most of the club
runs!....(like a lift kit and rear diff locker for starts)
Maybe post the question and see if anyone on the list knows of off-road
trails out there?
