Attaching K&N cone filter

Hi all,

I have a 99 CC Dak with the 5.2 in it and I just
installed a gibson
catback exhaust. The nice mellow sound is great. I
would now like to
uncork the intake. I have researched the posts from
the people who
have built homemade intakes with K&N cone filters. I
went to Advanced
Auto Parts to get either a 5x7 or 6x9 cone filter. I
opened up the box
to take a look at one and was suprised to see the
filter just has a
hole in it in one end. This is no big suprise. What
I was suprised to
see though was that there was no rubber or plastic lip
around the hole
to attach a hose clamp too, so that you can clamp it
to a pipe.

How is everyone attaching their K&N's to their intake
pipes?

Are the filters at AAP different from the other K&Ns.
I asked a guy
behind the counter and he didn't know squat.

I have figured out how to do everything else, but am
baffled with this
one problem.

Any info would be appreciated.
