I bought Jacobs wires due to excessive pinging. They made no difference. I
then routed them per this TSB and the pinging did decrease slightly but it
still there and very annoying.

Boy, if you had to remove the valve covers this would be another
headache. I think I'd rather try some longer, good quality wires
and looms.
