You reset the computer and drive the truck for a minimum of 30-40 miles.
That's how they learn.

Well. I got a scan tool "snap on" hooked up the the 97 dakota today, and
here
were some of the readings (i'll write it all down tomorrow) but from what i
know.
degrees BTC (advance) jumped from 11-26. then stayed steady around 17, but
STILL jumped around.

before cat O2 sensor :rich, lean, center, rich, rich..... kept moving too!
IAT temp: 18 degrees C
coolant temp 82 degrees temp.
then IAC was .6 volts or something. but the Advance is buggin me and the
O2
readings are making me wonder, I took the IAT out of the air intake tube
and
it's back in the original setting. now.. question. HOW do i get the
computer
to learn the new mods?

today. I started up the truck. Got in. pulled the light switch and it
died.
turned off the light switch. started it up, and died immediately. Started
it up, gave it gas and proceeded to drive with 1 foot on gas and 1 on
brakes.
WAT is goin on here. please shed some light. I don't have 80 bucks to get
a diagnostic run from chrysler. Can the snap on scan tool flash the
computer? or does DC have to do it?
