I would stay away from a 160 stat. In another group I belong the verdict was
that when an engine operated that cool the oil never got thin enough to
lubricate properly and alot of wear occured. they also noted premature ring
failure because they never seated right and would wear unevenly. not to
mention no heat. as long as you keep good gas in it you won't ping with the
180.
