"Tornado" intake swirling device?

Hello guys and gals,

I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with the "Tornado" air
intake insert. It consists of a tubular section of pipe with internal
vanes that are meant to rotate the intake charge before it enters the
TB. They claim wild increases in mileage and a slight HP rise but it
could all be snake oil and yet another gimmick ( a la the "magnetic
clamp-on fuel particle straightener). On the other side, the GM Vortec
intake manifolds use this principle to achieve better MPG and HP levels
so there may be a bit of merit in the concept, at least. Anybody tried
one?
