I haven't had any problems with leakage, and, as I've said before, my oil
consumption has gone WAY DOWN using the synthetic (I use 0w30, it handles
this Texas summer heat quite well :-) oil.

FWIW, I believe that at engine operating temperature, synth oils are at the
same viscosity as dino oils. Synths just flow better at room (and cooler)
temperatures. If your gaskets are leaking, it's probably time to fix the
problem rather than using thick oil as a band-aid.
