the amp doesn't take it's input from your head unit's speaker outputs, it takes it from your preamp outputs. It'll sound better that way =)
it'll use RCA type cables (like the ones for your VCR) instead of speaker cables. The signal is a raw high Hz signal straight out of the head unit. =)
