Going from experience from working at both Honda and Mazda, they have their
own problems. (As described below, yup...absolutely correct. Has anyone
ever priced parts for a Hyundai?? EXPENSIVE!)

As for quality, maybe a little better, but this doesn't mean that the
vehicles overall are any better (or worse), it's what you want out of it.
And remember...EVERY manufacturer has their "lemons"...it happens.

I'm not going to press this one, but a few months ago I
had problems with my Mazda 626. It turned out to be the
ignitor in the distributor. Oh well, no problem I thought,
I had just replaced the ignitor (pickup coil and module) in
my wifes aerostar...$30 bucks at autozone. I go back to auto
zone and low and behold they don't carry one. So I call Mazda,
$200 DOLLARS!!for an Ignitor module??!!...yes sir and you can't
return it. So, anyone buying a Japanese vehicle should pick out
the one they want, open the hood, pick out a part and then go to
the parts counter and ask how much it costs. Then enjoy that
reliability and overall quality.
