This really sucks...unabashed jealousy! I have been lucky that way..I have
white. The only thing that regularly does a number on my paint are flocks
of birds that congregate at the parking lot at my work. Lots of berry
bushes around...then "bombs away"! I have the white with purple bird flop
mottif every third day!
Sorry about your paint. Try polishing compound first I guess. If it hasn't
gone through all of the paint this may be all you need. Even so, this
method may go through your clear coat in which case you have to add clear
coat ( spray or brush..you'll have to make the judgement as to which),
followed by 2000 grit wet sand paper to level it to the surrounding paint.
Then use polishing compound again to get a uniform shine with the
surrounding paint. Follow this with an anti-swirl prewax prep and finally a
good wax/sealant. It is a multi-step pain in the butt to do it right..but
if it is really light and just went through the clear coat, you may be able
to get away with polishing coumpound and waxing only.
Good Luck!
