Siping is actually a bunch of little slices in the tread that goes across the
tread. Imagine taking a razor nblade and cutting small lines across the tread
of the tire. Actually this helps tremendously in the grip of the tire in wet
or snowy conditions. Thats the trason why all terrains will always beat a mud
terrain in smnow and ice and wet conditions. But even mudders can be siped
for better traction
