How much horsepower can a stock automatic tranny on a 98 4x4
sport 318 handle? I have the towing pachage that comes with the tranny
cooler, which im sure helps alot. My current mods are Mopar headers,R+D
TB,14"x2.25" K+N, And flowmaster 2 chamber exhaust. My next mod is Mopar comp
and 180 t-stat. In the future i want to put in the Mopar cam set and roller
rockers. The tranny will probably handle this because the factory sells these
parts. What about if i added an extrude hone manifold and ported polished
heads? would this be too much for the stock tranny? Im not at the track
every weekend, and i get into stoplight drags once in a while. So i wouldn't
constantly be beating on the tranny.
