In my opinion, the stock automatic transmission is barely adequate for a
stock truck. I am aware that several DMLers have had no trouble with
their transmissions, even running them at the track. But, many people have
had serious trouble. For the modifications you are planning, I would
recommend
and good ShiftKit, Redline Clutches, Kevlar Band, AMSOIL at higher pressure
and a larger Cooler at a minimum.
I am sure others on the DML will have different opinions and that's OK.
That's
what makes the DML a great list.
But I think you are really pushing it with a stock trans.
