My 73 ford with 122000 is on its second pump. Maybe I shoul change it.
There are some brands of anti freeze that had an abrasive in them to
clean the aluminum radiators. It ate up Honda Goldwing water pump seals.
Could the Dakotas have the same design of water pump?
