This reminds me of a story from a few years ago... but its not dak related,
except that it led me to look at dakotas for my next vehicle. Ill keep it
short. almost three years ago we had a brand new toyota land cruiser ( great
for off road when parents were out of town) which we took to a carwash the
day before christmas, it went through, and the guy got in to pull it out of
the track, but hedidnt know what he was doing, and floored it in neutral,
then slapped it into drive!!!!! left four tire marks on the pavment and
smoke in the air, then proceeded across six lanes of rush our traffic,
through a 200 yard wide runnoff drainage cannal (lots of them in phx) came
up the other side, a 20 ft slope at about 50 degrees and cleared all but the
top row of bricks of a 6 foot brick wall, cleared a swimming pool and
stuffed it into the back of a house, right into the kitchen sink. well he
got out and ran away, but our truck was totaled. the house didnt fare much
better. made it on the news and it took two tow trucks, a flat bed, and
annother to lift the fronnt of that tow truck!!!!
the lesson here... be careful when you take your dak to get it washed,
they were all illegal imigrants working and the place got fined for it!!!! I
have washed my dak my self every time since I bought it
