Hey, don't complain. I've on cracked into the 16's avg. once on a roadtrip,
much less 17's. I have a '99 CC, 318, auto, 4x4, 3.55's, some basic mods.
So much for the theory that lower gears give better mileage.

I just got back from a 820 mile drive ( all interstate) and I averaged 17.7
miles to the gallon. I got a 99 with 318, 3.90, 4x4, 31" tires, no mods.
I
used premium gas also.
I was hopeing for a little more. I had cruise on 73 mph almost the whole
way.
