WIPERS & another bird in the windshield...

Went to Statesboro (Ga.) yesterday down I-16, Georgia's least traveled =
interstate. I swear that you can drive 10 miles without seeing another =
car in either direction. 180 miles of "nothing". Anyhow, I'm driving =
with the cruise at about 75 when a bird flies up from the side of the =
road and hits the hood and lands under the windshield wiper. It's =
still alive as it's trying to flap wings and it's mouth is opening & =
closing. At this same time from noplace a Ga. State Trooper comes up =
behind me and decides to tag along. So I'm looking at the bird squawking,
GSP in my rearview and the speedo reading 75. Well, I couldn't leave the
bird there, so I turned on the wiper and =
watched it get blown over my cab and land square in the middle of GSP's =
crown vic windshield. You guessed it, the blue light came on...and it =
cost me a $50 ticket!
The charge you ask?

Flipping him the bird!

Serious content - got 18.3 mpg today. Same trip in October did 17.3 =
mpg. This is getting better & better. Cal Hyer
