I don't think that would be a problem. Where did you get this info. you are
still using the same spring rate and the axle is still located in the same
place, the only difference is with blocks you are adding about 1 lb. of
unsprung weight between the blocks and longer U bolts. Not a major issue
when compared to the weight of the rear.
Back to the problem at hand, The bigger blocks could give the axle more
leverage to wrap the spring, being that the point where the pressure is
applied is further from the fulcrum this would allow for spring wrap causing
the wheel hop. Typically stiffer shocks would not cause this problem so I
doubt that is the source of the problem. You need the stiffer shocks to
prevent excessive suspension travel on a truck dropped that far. otherwise
you will bottom out the suspension on every bump. Did you remove the
bumpstops and replace them with shorter ones? when I dropped my truck 4
inches in the back it literally rode on the bumpstops until I replaced them.
This could be why it feels so rough.
