Tom,
As I remember on my Dak when I had to adjust to tensioner(on mine I had to
loosen it all the way of course to take the worn belt off), I had to remove
the stock coil bracket. No biggie, just 2 bolts. Then, I believe all it
really consists of is a bolt and this bolt regulates how tight the belt is;
this bolt holds the tensioner and bracket which rotates back and forth. One
way and the belt starts to loosen and the other way it gets tighter. Well
you really just have to pull/push on it, helps to have a bud push it back
while you tighten it. Hope this is kind-of clear.....did you ever use any
Liquid Electrical Tape on that tow ring? My is looking great after I did it,
not rattling at all/rust free. I have some Chevy Tow Hooks coming in for the
front end of my Dak that I am going to coat it with that stuff also. Well
good luck!
