I have handled the brawn of many V-8's, all Olds, of well, gonna speak
in liters for the new group, 5.5, 6.6, 7.0, and 7.5 liters, which for us
hot rodders is 330", 400", 425", and 455". My slowest car ran a 15.4
(sleeper F-85 4-door), the fastest was a 13.7 (stock 4-4-2). I got my
3.9 (239") kinda to "mellow out" a little (and wanted a new truck), but
the bug is biting me for this one too!! It will come along, slowly, but
it will. And going for a ride with Sam in his black R/T last weekend
only made the craving worse (thanks, I think)!! Believe me, I miss the
feel of being thrown back in the seat!! I DON'T miss spending every
other day fixing things that I f---ed up while racing!! My 2 cents
worth.
