Funny...the FSM calls for SAE 80w90. No mention of any type of additive.

There is a special little bottle we add to LSD rear ends. I had the specs
posted.
for a v6 97 dakota automatic (8.25 rear end)
the fluid needed is...
3 pints (1.4 liters) for the 7.25 ring gear
and
4 pints (2.1 liters) for the 8.25 ring gear
