I am also experiencing the same fan belt noise problem, which also
started happening when winter came along. Its been about -30 degrees here
lately with no chance if it warming up for a while :(.. It only does it
when I start it after its been sitting for at least a few hours, makes a
squeeky (not very loud - but noticable) sound. Only does it until the
coolant temperature reaches 'normal'. Sounds like its coming from the belt
tensioner to me, but its way too cold out here in Alaska for me to
verify...argh, more warranty crap for me to get fixed on the poor truck :(.
I've got about 17,000 miles on it now.
