The problem with towing in OD is when the tranny heats up. it usually heats
up because its slipping in and out of OD. thats because people use it for all
kinds of toewwing uphill downdill straight flat area. you can tow in OD as
long as youre not on a incline or mountain or hill areas. For long flat
highway driving OD is fine. also installing the biggest tranny cooler you can
will definatley help out. on my GMc i tower, raced, and worked and 4x4 the
truck. i finally had to rebuild the tranny at 1`60 000 miles and that was
only because a planetary gear went bad. . just change the fluid and filter
regularly and youll be ok
