This is what I've been told by someone that has been into blowers.

The ATI unit is really noisy. Vortech has the best quality of the centrifugal
type. He suggested that I take a really look hard at the Kennebell setup
because
it is not a roots type charger. It's a positive displacement type ... what
the Shelby Dakota uses and is all EPA certified, etc, etc. It will make a ton
more torque down low, and can probably get away without messing with an
intercooler.

The OEM's (Chrysler/Ford/GM/Toyota etc) seem to prefer the
Eaton/Lyshom/Whipple
Positive displacement type units. With a lighter car and a stick shift, a
centrifugal
type may be considered but centrifugal types don't do much below 3000 rpm
... good if
you have a light car with a stick but not with a heavy truck because you
have to get
to about 4500 rpm or so to get any really huge improvement.

The problem that I have the Kennebell is that I have read too many stories
about
his poor support and the heavy duty price. Anyone have other opinions?
