I just received my headers also. However, I do have a question or two.
On the tubes it is very evident where they were held by the vice, or
jig. Little rectangles with teeth marks on each tube. Is this normal?
Inside some of the tubes there are weld "droppings." Is this considered
normal? Also, I would have thought, on the inside, where the tubes are
welded to the mounting plate it would be ground to a smooth finish.
Last, the CARB certification plate is only held on by one spot weld. The
other one broke in shipping. I would think that after a few miles the
other weld might break also and I would lose my cert plate. Was I
expecting too much? Should I return them and request a replacement set?
