This was a response I got from David R. about rear ends for 2000 daks.
I checked the part number he gave me for the RT rear and then checked the
rear in my truck, it had that exact number on it. I'm wondering if anyone
else got the RT (9 1/4") rear ,W/ the swaybar brackets and the 9" brakes???
David, if your still out there listening, do they make a 9 1/4 rear without
sway bar brackets, or 9" brakes???

<Matt,

<You are right about the R/T. They get Axle 52070200AB which is a 9 1/4
<3.92 TracLoc with Swaybar Brackets with 9" Brakes.

<There are several applications for the 9 1/4 axle for the Dakotas.
<There are 8 different 9 1/4 Axles for the 4X2 and 7 different 9 1/4's for
the
<4X4.
<The main difference between these axles are the brake sizes, ratios and
<open case vs. TracLoc.

<Also there are currently 22 different 8 1/4 axle combinations for the
Dakota.
<12 for the 4X2 and 10 for the 4X4.

<That's 37 different axle combinations for the Dakota as opposed to the Ram
<which
<has only 8. 4 for the 4X2 and 4X4.
