Easy Way: Look in the glove box and see if it says "standard" or "open" X.XX
axle. If it does you do not have suregrip. If it says Sure Grip or Trac Loc
then you do.
No So Easy: Jack up the rearend and rotate a tire... If the opposite tire
turns in the same direction you have sure grip/trac loc. If it turns in the
opposite direction you don't -or- your lsd is shot (I.E. clutches are fried).
I'm also told there may be a tag on the diff. cover that will say if it's a
S.G. or not... I don't have a lsd so I can't confirm that.
Ridiculous way: Rip off the diff. cover and take a look! :-)
I'm told, but don't know for sure, that 30k is around the expected life of the
clutch packs in a lsd. I guess it would totally depend on manufacturer and
driving styles though. You must have heard that all 5.2's come with S.G. from a
5 Star Dealership... ;-)

Hey everyone, how can I tell if I've got the suregrip in my Dak.? Someone
said they thought all 5.2s came with it, I'm not that sure .Sometimes it acts
like it hooks up and other times acts like an open diff. Its a 95 with 50,000
on it, 5.2 Auto 3.55s
Could my clutches be worn or what? This is my first Dodge so I"m relying on
all you Mopar Fans out there to Help me figure some of these things out.
Thanks
