Well i have a LSD. most LSDs when they get over revved they act like a open
differntial. Now when i go in the mud and i get the rear end in mud i only
spin 1 tire in some instances. just because its a Limited slip posy or
hatever you call it it will NEVER be exackly like a locker

heres the types of rear end differentials

OPEN DIFFERENTIAL- sends power equally to both axles. when a wheel starts to
spin ( the wheel with least traction) the power goes to that wheel thus only
one wheel spins and you get stuck or just stand still. this type of dif also
differntiates around corners

LIMITED SLIP- ( AKA posi, sure grip, trac lok) sends power equally to both
wheels. when 1 wheel slips or loses traction power is sent to that wheel but
power also gets sent to the other wheel. when the LSD is spun too fast in
some instances it will act like a regular open differential. On this type of
differential one tire will spin faster than the other , and also one tire
may spin slower than the differential great for streets and normal off road

LOCKER- this is basically a differential that delivers power to both wheels
equally ALL THE TIME. now the newer styles can disengage the teeth in a
cornering situation but the axles stay locked for most part. also this type
of locker will spin BOTH tires as fast as the differential is spinning and
not any slower. now im not gonna get in the soft lockers and the other so
called lockers. Im just giving a overview

SPOOL- this is a traction device that DOES NOT ALLOW ANY slip or
differentiating between the wheels. It will ALWAYS send power to both wheels
. this spool shouldnt be used on streets. its mainly designed for strictly
offroad or race only conditions
