Jon,

I recommend it! I've had three cars with rustproofing (two factory and the
Dak was Ziebarted) and I've had two that weren't! Big difference! Like you
my vehicles are exposed to mass quantities of road salt and winters! In
addition, the Ziebarting on the Dak quieted the ride even more!

Just my $.02

Hi everyone - I'm sure this topic has been beat to death, but I need
some opinions on it: What do any of you think about rustproofing? I had it
done to the Dak, but our new Intrepid doesn't have it yet. My dad always did
it to his cars, but they always ended up rusting anyway (Chicago winters and
lots of salt!)
My brother-in-law said he read in Consumer Reports that they advise
NOT getting it done, because today's cars are so well painted and protected
from the factory, that they don't need it. I'm still leaning towards it,
being in Milwaukee where they use even MORE salt than in Chicago!
The one shop I did call said they would do it for $200, and it comes
with a lifetime warranty (but it wasn't a national chain like Ziebart; just
some local shop near where I work.) Let me know what you think, because the
guy said they could do it as long as the car was less than 6 months old.
Thanks!
