The owner of Krown Rust, Burlington, Ont. was not in this morning but
I spoke with his dad who passed the business to his son.

For the undercarriage, there are two thoughts out there. One is to
remove the surface rust and flakes and the other is to spray with
the rust and flakes on. His dad is in the 'spray with rust on' camp.
He feels that the rust and flakes provide extra surface area for the
petroleum-based material to bond to, and since the material prevents
further spreading of rust, sees no harm in doing this. If you're
referring to the parts of the body panels that show, remove the rust
first.

BTW, the Krown Rust franchise is in certain parts of the States but
the dad could not remember the name they go by. He said that the
biggest user (recent apparently) of Krown Rust in the States is
the U.S. army. If you want to know the U.S. company's name,
let me know and I'll ask the son.
